Good stuff: It was clean, and neat. The rooms were realy beautfully decorated.
Bad stuff: Breakfast area was a little bit small, and we felt cramped when having breakfast in the mornings.
Overall: The hotel was fantastic overall, but the area in which it is situated was a bit overwhelming when we arrived there at night. The streets were dirty and filled with people standing around and shouting and trying to get onto the Metro without tickets. It would have been helpful if I knew that the area was not an upmarket one. It was very good value for money as the hotel itself was cosy and very comfortable.

Good stuff: Excellent value for money. Location good, able to walk to quite a few of the sights. Staff very helpful and friendly. Area in which hotel is located is a bit run down, and perhaps does not give a good first impression, but the standard of hotel for the price definitely makes up for this.
Bad stuff: Not much, considering price.
Overall: The hotel is in a good situation, and handy to metro and train stations. However, if you just want to walk and explore it's ideal. The nearby region around the Opera is an excellent area to eat out and enjoy the night time atmosphere. The hotel provides excellent value for money - it's basic but clean and the staff will do whatever they can to help you. Would definitely stay again.

Good stuff: Staff were very, friendly and very helpfull. The hotel was only feet away from a metro station.
Bad stuff: It is a little cramped, and the room we stayed in could do with a facelift.
Overall: The staff of this hotel were very friendly and very helpful. with a metro station only a few feet up the street, access to other parts of the city was easy.
The main negative was that the immediate vicinity of the hotel, while fine, was a little run down, and held no real attractions. In this sense, it was not a very central location.
However, overall, i was happy with the Hotel, and i cannot emphasise how friendly and helpful all the staff were to us.

Good stuff: Location and price
Overall: Very convenient for metro, although nearest station at Chateau D'Eau was a bit intimidating at first, with large groups hanging about. Didn't see any trouble, but felt more comfortable to walk from Strasbourg St Denis station - only a couple of minutes walk.
Room and en-suite were small, but had everything that was needed.
Staff were friendly and patient with my very limited French.
