There are many reasons for visiting the city of Paris, the magnificent architecture and grandeur of the buildings that date back hundreds of years, the superb shopping, elegant palaces and monuments, or just the sophisticated charm and romance of the 'city of love'. Whatever your reason we have the ideal location for you to make the most of your time here.
Set in the heart of the city, in an area called Avenue de l'Opera, we have 61 rooms, each one decorated in a contemporary style and supremely comfortable. All of our rooms have been recently refurbished and have all the facilities that you would expect from an establishment of this obvious quality. Each room is air conditioned and has an elegant en-suite bathroom; cable TV; direct dial telephone; mini bar; in room safe and to ensure that you get an undisturbed nights sleep, all rooms have been soundproof to keep out the noise of the city.
A buffet breakfast is served in our cosy dinning room, where you can choose from a selection of foods, perfect to set you up for a day exploring the city. For you evening meal there is no shortage of excellent restaurants within just a few minutes walk from our front door. Our courteous and pleasant staff will be happy to advise you on the best places to eat, and will make your table reservation for you.

Good stuff: The central location of The Golden Tulip Opera was superb. Literally right in the middle of this chic and alive location in Paris. Everywhere you went from here there was something happening. The rooms were clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and helpful. You could not ask for more for your money.

Overall: I have stayed in the Opera area of Paris before. The hotels around here are well sought after as the area has a reputation. That being, it is a cool area to be in. Our room was quiet, as we requested, overlooking an interior courtyard. This made for some very good nights sleeping. The value for money is the one thing that stood out here. Although the room was a bit small, which is usual for Paris hotel rooms, it was not overly compact. Enough room with a desk and a large enough bathroom. Gave us each some private space, is how I would put it. The room was cleaned daily. New sheets were put on ever day as well. This to me is necessity. Breakfast was good with the usual continental choice available. There was always a good quantity of food available. Nothing had run out. The coffee as well was good quality. This was brought to your table in a pot. Overall a good experience that I would repeat as would my travelling partner. Great location great service and a bed the size of a swimming pool for a good price. You cant ask for better quality for the money in central Paris.

Good stuff: clean and functional

Bad stuff: The staff were unhelpful. They agreed to order a taxi with a child seat but failed to do so. This made us late for our train as we had to get the metro when the taxi failed to turn up.

Overall: The hotel was generally good. However, it took several phone calls and an email to confirm the booking as they did not receive the booking online. This could of caused more problems if they were busy.

Good stuff: Excellent location, very close to L'Opera and close to Place de la Concorde. Hotel Bar closes at 10 pm although locally there are plenty of cafe/bars open until much later. Hotel staff were polite and helpful. Hotel was clean and tidy.

Overall: Booked this trip and hotel as a honeymoon weekend and submitted these details on the booking form, to no avail! Excellent location, very close to L'Opera and close to Place de la Concorde. Hotel Bar closes at 10 pm although locally there are plenty of good cafe/bars open until much later. Hotel staff were polite and helpful. Hotel and room were clean and tidy. A good base from which to see Paris from.
