Good stuff: Very central. Very cheap. Staff were friendly. Rooms were very clean.

Bad stuff: It was a bit noisy (from the streets) but that is pretty common in city centre places

Overall: It was great basic, budget accomodation in a central place. Dead easy to get to - Voltaire metro was about 5 mins walk away.Good restaurants and shops around. It cost about 6 euros to get a taxi into the very centre of Paris. It is an ideal pit stop base but wouldn't recommend it for longer than a weekend, or for a romantic get away, because it is pretty basic.

Good stuff: great location - quiet but in a happening area

Bad stuff: the curtains and the wallpaper!

Overall: good value for money. Friendly staff with good English. Its a great area near the second hand markets and also the really cool cafe area of Bastille and especially Rue de Lappe. I wouldn't hang out in the hotel but its cool.

Bad stuff: Bed size, fresh towels every morning not one change in five days

Overall: Lucky the two of us staying on the hotel are small, bed was just ok!! The place is grand for students!!
