Romantic, filled with music laughter and joy - Paris is the city of art, food and wine.

There are a wealth of museums but the most famous is Le Louvre - enter the glass pyramid and inside you will find priceless art treasures and the enigmatic Mona Lisa. Be sure to spend time around Pompidou Centre - very much like Covent Garden, filled with arts and crafts, trendy cafes and a very cosmopolitan arena. Street performers and entertainment to delight you.

Climb Eiffel Tower, stopping at stage two for a coffee and when you get to the top you'll appreciate the sheer beauty of this romantic city. Take a river boat up the Seine and alight at Notre Dame where you can spend time with this Gothic masterpiece. Artists are to be found all along the river banks and round the streets of the Sacre Coeur on Montmartre - super views of the city from here too.

Take a route from Place de la Concorde to the top of Champs-Elysees and there you will discover Place Charles de Gaulle and then the famous Arc de Triomphe before you - a tribute to the French Army.

The best shopping is to be found in the famous Galeries Lafayette with every designer label you can think of. For some real down to earth shopping head for one of the many open air markets, allow the stallholders to cajoule you and buy their wonderful fayre.

This Guests Rating Bar for 2.71  Rating of 2.71 out of 5  Unique ID (99172678)
Guests Name: Marilyn  Guest was travelling as: Solo leisure traveller
Good stuff: The receptionist was friendly and the hotel extremely convenient for the Gare du Nord.
Bad stuff: On checking out I was told that breakfast was available on the morning of departure, which was not made clear beforehand.
Overall: The room,65,I was given the first night was poor with no curtains at the window and four beds making it very cramped; the bed I slept in was extremely uncomfortable. All you could say for the room was that it was clean(and cheap). I was transferred, without asking, to 64 for the second night which was comfortable, with curtains.
