Good stuff: Charming old hotel in perfect area. Rooms are not fancy but adequate. Despite being on a busy street the room was very quiet. Excellent value. The person at the desk when we left was very pleasant.

Bad stuff: Front desk staff when we arrived, we actually changed our plans and left early due to attitude

Overall: I was traveling for business and needed to be changed from my travel clothes to business attire to be at meetings out at La Defense. I had written a request when I reserved to see if it was possible to get in our room a little early so I could freshen up. It was my mistake to not confirm this was possible, however when we arrived at 10:00 we were told we could not check in until 13:00. That is when my meetings were scheduled to start. I was forced to change clothes in a washroom in the basement. The concierge had my emailed request in hand. There was no attempt to accomodate business travel. I travel to Paris for work 4 to 6 times per year as well as referring other travelers. I always try to stay in the 5th or the 6th as we have many friends nearby. We have tried many hotels and apartements in these arrondisements usually with good success. I understand that a room may not have been available, but there was no effort to explain this or to accomodate. I had surprised my husband with the trip for his birthday and this was not the pleasant start I had in mind. Fortunately we always have a great time when we visit and your hotel was just a minor bump in the road.
