The main sights to see have to be named and are not to be missed - Le Tour Eiffel - be sure to climb her steps to appreciate the enormity and history of this grand lady, Arc de Triomphe approached from Place Charles de Gaulle. Take a river boat along the Seine and alight at Notre Dame - the Gothic Masterpiece of Paris. Pompidou Centre is the French equivalent of Covent Garden - alive with artists, craft shops and trendy cafes where you can watch the world go by over a cappuccino and a chat. Be sure to climb Montmartre and pay homage to Sacre Coeur who will reward you with fine views across the city.
There are hundreds of museums but the most famous is Le Louvre with its mystical glass pyramid entrance and home to the Mona Lisa - take time to gaze at this magical portrait.
Over 60 markets operate in Paris - mostly in the mornings but you will find some in the afternoons. Artists are a plenty so why not have your own portrait done.
While away the evenings in fine restaurants, a little fine wine and good company and complete the night with a stroll along the Seine.....bliss!
