We are located in the Alesia area of the city which is a short distance South of Montparnasse, Porte d'Orleans metro station (line M4) is about 80 metres to the West of us. It will take you only 1 minute to walk there from us. There is a lovely green space nearby called Square du Serment de Koufra which can be nice to sit in. Also nearby is Montsouris Park which Emperor Napoleon III created for his people and is still there today.

The three districts of Montparnasse, Saint Germain des Pres and the Latin Quarter form what has become known as the 'Left Bank' area of the city. This area is synonymous with the many famous painters, writers, poets and philosophers. All have sought inspiration in the beauty and tranquillity of the area. The area has been home to many famous artists, and is still a Mecca for many aspiring artists who are looking for that same inspiration, and every street and alleyway has its share of studios and workshops.

Good stuff: Room was a good size, very clean and the price was very fair.

Bad stuff: not much really.

Overall: The hotel was pretty easy to find, right by the exit of Porte D'Orleans metro station. It's not in the center of Paris, but a very short metro ride away. More importantly for me at the time, the hotel is quite close to the paris expo (was attending a convention). I did not actually spend much time in the room, but it was very clean and spacious, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was included the quoted price, which was very reasonable, and it was the typical continental variety. The facilities were basic, but that's what I expected, and the service was friendly enough. Overall, I have no complaints, my stay was enjoyable and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Good stuff: Accommodation was excellent the rooms were a good size and facilities good. Very good value for money on the whole.

Bad stuff: There was no air conditioning and the staff could not find me a fan as Paris was extremely hot.

Overall: On the whole we had an excellent stay. The accommodation was very clean and spacious. The metro station (Orleans) was situated immediately outside the hotel which was very convenient. The air conditioning was a bit of an issue but everything else was fine. I would perhaps stay a little nearer to the Latin Quarter next time.
