After breakfast how will you start your day......perhaps some shopping and pamper yourself with a therapy or two - manicure, pedicure and a visit to the hairdressers. Visit the department stores and mainstream outlets close by or really treat yourself with a visit to Galeries Lafayette where you will fine designer labels, the best perfumes, lingerie, jewels to marvel at and there's always something going on there so sit, sip a coffee and watch the fashion show, book signing or view the art exhibition that's taking place. The Galeries houses the largest menswear store in Europe too.

Monuments, churches and museums strewn the city but the most famous and most visited is of course Le Louvre - home to the enigmatic Mona Lisa and priceless art treasures. Spend time around Montmartre where you can view the works of the local artists and pay homage to the Sacre Coeur where you will see the world's largest mosaic depicting Christ with outstretched arms. Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysees and Place de la Concorde are all easy to walk to. Tour Eiffel is something to climb and conquer and for something a little different take a river boat ride and alight at Notre Dame where you can spend some time with this Gothic Masterpiece.

Take coffee in Pompidou Centre and enjoy the street entertainment and atmosphere here.

Evenings are best spent in an intimate and inviting restaurant with your favourite person, chatting and indulging in fine French food and wine.

Good stuff: Location, Cleanliness
Bad stuff: No Shower in room, Cleaners kept knocking to clean room despite Do No Disturb Sign, Noisy, Lift not always working.
Overall: I have stayed in the St Lazare Area of paris before an find it an excellent comprimise between Location and Price. This Hotel however fell well below my expectations. The rooms were the most basic I have ever seen at a hotel. There were no shower facilities only a bath and a shower head which you needed to hold in order to wash. This meant that not only was the experience difficult but everything got soaking wet. The room heater did not work which meant the room was cold each morning and even though we used to Do Not Disturb sign on our door the cleaners insisted on knocking every morning (and walking into our room they were extreamly noisy during their morning cleaning routine which started around 9am. On the upside the hotel is nicely located near plenty of Shops, and Metro Stations (although Leige, the nearest station is closed after 8pm and on Sundays) and was very clean. For approximately 100 Euro Per night for a double room I would not book this hotel again, it's rated as a 3*** but in my opinion would struggle to get 2** from me. There are plenty of sub 100 Euro hotels around St Lazare which are much better........and they all come with showers!
