Good stuff: Ease of changing to a preferred room (Double instead of twin) good breakfast included and friendly staff

Bad stuff: Cost of the minibar - as with all minibar's this was expensive, but the hotel had no other means of offering a bar service, so you are a little restricted to profiteering through the minibar.

Overall: Good location for touring paris, friendly service with multilingual staff speaking good english if required

Good stuff: The room was clean, the bath and shower were in good order, the staff helpful and friendly, the breakfast was ok if a little crowded. The location was great, The free map was informative.

Bad stuff: A no smoking policy, or non smoking rooms would be welcome to some, and the corridor walls were painted in the most awful yellow.

Overall: Inexpensive, but good value for money, I would disagree with the recent reviewers who slated the hotel. Our stay was quite satisfactory for the proce paid.

Good stuff: The accommodations were small as would be expected in Paris, but very clean with a charming bath with shower/tub. We had a 5th floor room overlooking the street with a balcony. Very nice.

Bad stuff: Perhaps typical of an older Paris hotel, the temperature of the water in the shower was problematic. There was no air conditioning, but a fan was provided.

Overall: This hotel was a great find for the money! Located out of the main tourist areas but within less than a block of the Voltaire Metro station, access to all of the Paris sights was easy. A delightful local park is located just up the street. The hotel staff and people in the neighborhood were very friendly, and most spoke some English. The hotel provided an excellent continental breakfast in a charming dining room in the basement. I highly recommend the hotel for the budget traveler.
