Gare de Lyon Hotels Paris Train Station 12th Arrondissement

One of the main train stations in Paris, the Gare de Lyon was named after the city where many of its trains used to terminate. Located at 20 Boulevard Diderot in the 12th Arrondissement of Paris. From here most destination to the east and south of France are reachable using the SNCF services. Also running from here are metro, RER and regional trains. Constructed in 1900, this piece of classic architecture was built for the World Exposition which was held here in that year. When you see it, you cant help but notice the huge clock tower on one corner of the building. Another notable feature is the well known restaurant that is housed here. Le Train Bleu has been here since 1901 and its unique decor has kept people returning again and again for a drink and a meal. It is the perfect place to meet someone if you are traveling through.
